At around 5:15 pm, Christiana FC (52), Bart Twp. FC (51) and Gap FC (42) were dispatched to 264 Creek Road in Sadsbury Twp. for a dwelling fire.  Assistant 52 arrived with a working fire and requested the 2nd alarm.  This brought multiple mutual aid units, including Rescue, Truck and Tanker 57.

Rescue 57 arrived and the crew was instructed to set up the Rapid Intervention Team.  The crew gathered all necessary equipment and started up the driveway.  This was the absolute steepest driveway most any of those operating on the scene has ever seen.  It was also appx. 800' long.  This made it quite a struggle to get equipment and manpower to the scene.  Most firefighters needed a rest by the time they reached the scene.

The Rescue crew set up RIT, repositioned a ladder to the attic area and checked all sides.  The crew was then charged with opening a second hole in the roof.  Three members made it up the extremely steep roof and we only able to open a small hole before having to leave the roof due to advancing fire conditions.  All crews were then ordered from the building and an exterior attack darkened the fire down.  Crews were then able to re-enter and overhaul and extinguish the remaining fire.

During this time, Truck 57, and Engine 57-2's crews operated inside and on the roof.  Crews also assisted with maintaining a RIT crew with Gap FC members.

QFD crews operated for over 4 hours on the scene.  While leaving, the Rescue crew also assisted Engine 51-2 breaking down the fill site.

When we returned to station, we were visited by the owners of the World's Largest Street Legal 4x4.  The guys were very nice and let us know that they are buiding another truck that will be dedicated to all first responders.  Go to ironrevenge.com for more info.
