At 5:46 pm Monday, the “full company” was alerted to assist Rawlinsville FC with a barn fire on Drytown Road in Martic Township. This was while a severe thunderstorm rolled through the area.
Assistant 58 arrived with a fully involved tobacco shed appx. 50’x100′.
Truck 57 set up on a side driveway and provided the master stream. Engine 574 stretched one line for fire attack. Tanker 57 worked in the water supply as did Engine 572 by setting up a draft site at Muddy Run Park. Rescue 57 provided RIT and 57 Fire Police and Squad 572 helped with traffic.
The company was on scene for about 2 hours and then returned to do another 45 minutes of clean up.
