pJust before 1 pm Truck and Rescue 57 were dispatched to 23 Fernwood drive in Strasburg Townshipnbsptonbspassist Strasburg FC 5 on a barn fire.nbsp As units were responding LCWC reported that a barn was on fire andnbspthe house was an immediate exposure.nbsp Assistant 5 John Stoltzfus Jr arrivednbspwith a workingnbsp30 x 50 barnnbspfullynbspinvolved extending to thenbspresidence.ppFirst in companiesnbsplaidnbsp2100 of supply line from Summit Hill Rd. into the scene and then immediately protected the exposure and began to knock down the mainnbspbody of fire.nbsp Truck 57 staged on the roadway and sent the crew to the scenenbspalong with the crew from Rescue 57.nbsp Tanker 57 alsonbspresponded and assisted innbspthe tanker shuttle pumping off one load of water intonbspthe nursenbsptanker Tanker 51.ppCrews remained on the scene until 330 pm assisting with overhaul and fire suppression duties.ppGood work to all involved.nbspnbspQFD units were back in station by 410 pm.nbspp
