On Tuesday evening, members continued on building and refining our rescue skills with lifting and shoring drills. We were very fortunate to have Rob from FDNY Rescue Company 1 leading our training for the evening.
Members practiced lifting a car, truck, large concrete pipe and a concrete slab using air, hydraulic and manual tools. Our members have a very good rescue skill set, but we all learned some great “real-world” basic tactics that aren’t always taught, but work when needed. Thanks to Rob for taking the time and showing us some new skills, tips and tricks. Thanks to all the QFD members that turned out and worked hard in training.
