At 7:34 am, QFD, Union Fire Company EMS and LEMSA were dispatched the the area of Liberty Lane and Spruce Grove Road in Colerain Township for an environmental rescue. The 911 call reported an uninjured male stuck in mud up to his upper legs. On arrival, the crews walked about 1/4 mile in a trail carrying various equipment to extricate the subject. A backboard was used to push to the victim who then secured themselves to it and it was then pulled via rope by the volunteers to free him. Fortunately, he was uninjured. It took only 15 minutes from time of arrival to handle the situation.
