At 5:54 pm Monday, severe storms rolled through the Southern End doing some serious damage to property, trees and wires.
QFD responded to 8 runs during the storm, most of which were trees and wires and storm damage investigations. Crews tarped up the roofs of two houses to help keep property damage to a minimum.
Southern End companies responded to over 25 separate calls for service, with the worst damage being in Western Providence Township and Martic Township where several buildings were destroyed.
QFD volunteers were in service until 9:30 pm.
