“Trash Fire” In East Drumore Township

At 12:21 pm, QFD was alerted to a “trash fire” at 824 Scotland Road in East Drumore Township. On arrival, Chief 571 reported a double house, half of which was being burned in a demolition burn. The fire spread to the half of the house that was not to be burned. Engine 572, Engine 574 and Brush 57 stretched 3 lines and worked in the exposure to open up and knock down the fire that was spreading through the attic. Additional tankers were requested from Rawlinsville and Robert Fulton for additional water. Units worked for 1 hour to contain the fire in the exposure and darken down the controlled burn. The Company was in service for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
