At 11:11 am Thursday, QFD was dispatched to a brush fire on John Drive in Colerain Township. Before response, LCWC 911 updated it to a building fire as callers indicated a shed on fire extending to a house with a large woods fire.
Chief 572 arrived, confirmed a 10′ × 25′ shed fully involved, a large woods fire and the siding melting from the house.
Engine 574 arrived, laid in the driveway and stretched two lines knocking down the fire. Tanker 57 supplied E4, Brush 57 worked the woods fire and E572 handled the fill site at the Octoraro Lake. Additional companies, including a Tanker Task Force assisted with suppression, overhaul and water supply. Fire Police controlled traffic in the area.
