At 12:29 pm Sunday, QFD and mutual aid from Union FC and Bart Township FC were alerted for a house fire on Woodside Drive in Colerain Township. While responding, LCWC advised of multiple 911 calls indicating a working fire.
Lt. 572 arrived and confirmed a one-story modular with a walk-out basement with fire through the roof.
Engine 574 stretched a line to the front door and began fire attack with Engine 21-2. Tanker 57 was the nurse tanker and supplied the scene. Truck 57 backed in from Kirkwood Pike and the crew assisted with opening up. Additional units worked on fire attack, water supply or RIT.
The incident was placed under control by Deputy 57 at 1:05 pm with companies remaining on scene doing salvage and overhaul until 2:45 pm.
QFD and mutual aid fire police controlled traffic in the area, and the QFD Special Division provided drinks and snacks. Gap FC Engine 421 and Christiana FC Tanker 52 covered our station.
